I’ve used botox once, and it wasn’t for wrinkles, it was actually for migraines. Interestingly enough it’s actually approved for that and not for wrinkles. But it obviously works. The fact that it comes from a bacteria, a deadly bacteria, was daunting. But migraines are literally that bad no matter how you look at it. So you go for desperate measures. I tried botox once and only once, because its side effects are scarier than any other problems you may suffer from and it may supposedly treat.
It’s possible that they injected it wrong or something. But I honestly wonder how hard it could possibly be to do it right without causing unnecessary damage. At first, it relieved my migraines, that is for the first 3 days. But after 3 days, I don’t know how it traveled to another area. But I started experiencing the side effects. First my eye drooped a little, which was not that bad. Whatever. But then it got worse. I had trouble breathing, and then I started feeling sick all the time.
My face hurt worse than migraines generally did, and then my neck and head directly started aching. Soon after that, it seemed like I was getting some kind of nasty cold, and I eventually had to go to the hospital. The simple fact of the matter is that no matter what you are using botox for, it is still a small amount of a deadly substance. So while it is appealing for some in its effects, there are many things to consider.
